–Schedule-

1:00 pm – The Shim Sham – This dance is a choreographed routine done similarly to line dances, except that this line dance is routed in vintage movement that is pivotal to a Lindy Hoppers development. Almost every Lindy Hopper knows this dance, and you can expect to see it almost anywhere you travel.

2:00 pm – Swingouts and Swingout Variations – The Swingout is Lindy Hop’s most iconic and dynamic move. Once learned, a dancer’s world opens up to tons of possibilities. The Swingout is highly versatile, and many different moves and spins can be interchanged within the figure. Once mastered, leads and follows can put their own spin on the move with heavily stylized swivels, twists, kicks, and rhythmic variations.

3:00 pm – Partner Charleston – Lindy Hop is direct descendant of Charleston from the 1920’s. This class will focus on how to transition in and out of some of the most common and fundamental Charleston patterns. Charleston is great for faster tempos and adding dynamic elements to your Lindy Hop.
